After leaving Canberra we headed into Sydney to spend a night there before heading into the Blue Mountains. The train to the Blue Mountains was a nice double decker, where you could move the seats (thought all you Rail Europe people would like to know that!). We managed to get ourselves a cheap double room, but there was a reason for it being so cheap, it was a bunk bed in the worlds smallest room. That afternoon we decided to have a wander around Katoomba and start our christmas shopping, we also managed to get hold of some free decorations as a company was giving them away.
We planned to spend Wednesday in the Blue Mountains but we werent exactly sure what we wanted to do but it turned out to be a really good day. We walked from the hostel to Echo Falls, which provided amazing views of the mountains and then we walked down to the Three Sisters. After walking to scenic world through lots of puddles (I didnt think it was supposed to rain in Australia) we stopped for lunch. Instead of catching the train to the bottom we were feeling quite energetic so decided to walk down. It was like another world down in the mountains as it was so peaceful and nobody around. To save our little legs we caught the cable car back up, it was so quick in comparison to walking, if you had blinked you would have missed it!
