Hurry, you're sooooo late!

Continued from my London blog...
Ok, sleeping in on holiday just isn't allowed I guess.  After checking in at our hotel around 2am we passed out cold.  M said we could sleep in and take our time getting ready because our excursion didn't start until 11:20.  Wonderful I thought, I'm so not waking up til late, no rush to grab breakfast and take our time getting ready.  Everything was still packed and I wasn't worried about it since we had plenty of time to get ready. 
M still woke up early and showered.  I was being lazy and fell back asleep. I finally jumped in the shower around 8:30.  After a long hot shower, I get out, freezing my buns off and hear the phone ring.  I had a sinking feeling it was the people from the excursion telling us they told us the wrong time.   I say this because I have heard on at least two occasions in which people were told the wrong time and were left behind.  Anyways, M speaks to the man on the other end and then gave me an "I'm sorry" look.  He hangs up and says, "how fast can you get ready"?  Um... excuse me?  I was standing there, hair dripping wet, covered in a towel and everything still packed in my suitcase.  He then tells me that I had 5 minutes to get ready and get downstairs!!  WHAT???!!! (LMAO...I can laugh about it now... 2 years later).
Somehow I did it, I brushed my hair, my teeth, threw on clothes, thew up my wet hair, packed my make up to take and put on while on the bus, and put my shoes on.  Out the door I went.  As I got on the bus, I realized I forgot to pack my bikini for the Blue Lagoon.   I ask M to run up and get it and then we were off.  There was another couple on the bus waiting for us.  You know what, I didn't care!  The excursion people told M 11:20!!  So I had every reason NOT to be ready!

Off we went to the excursion place to transfer buses.  There they had a few buses full of people waiting for us as well.  Again, I was being kinda rude and thinking whatever.  We jump on the bus heading to the Blue Lagoon.  Since my hair was still wet and I had no make up on, I was looking forward to completely soaking myself in the geothermal pools.  We arrive and was told we had 2 hours!!  UGH again!  How can I melt in only 2 hours?? The Lagoon was barely opening and we stood in line waiting for them to figure things out.  After changing, showering and grabbing my towel, I met with M and we quickly walked into the lagoon.  They have you shower prior to getting in so you freeze your ass off from the shower until to get to the lagoon.  It was a chilly day.  3 degrees outside of the pools.  So we pretty much stayed in the pools most of the time.  Neither one of us brought our cameras in, we didn't wanna bother with it.  Just wanted to relax.  We put the silica stuff on our face and danced around like tribal folk.  We could barely find any privacy, the place wasn't busy, but everyone had the same idea as us, trying to get away from the crowds. 

We managed to go to the steam grotto, and when that got too hot we jumped back in the water.  Around 11:30 we headed back to the showers in hopes to grab a bite to eat at the cafe since we totally missed breakfast.  I quickly showered, threw my wet hair up once again, got dressed and met M in the cafe.  He had already grabbed us food and I just needed to scarf it down and run to the bus so we weren't late AGAIN.  We passed the outside pools and decided to take some quick pics.  And of course, we were the last ones on the bus!  lol This was our luck for the rest of the day! Oh well!  Michael and I laughed about it the whole day!  Good times!
