On our way to funky town
Queenstown...and finally some clean clothes! The thrifty side of us buckled under the pressure. 5 nights on the side of the road, with only the hum of mosquitos for company had sent us mad....we needed facitlities....we needed amenities....we needed HEAT! So sheepishly, we booked ourselves into Top 10 campsite...and spent the next 7 hours grooming...ourselves; the van; what once was our crockery. Everything had to be disinfected..!! But finally it was done...and we could return to civilisation...and the comforting noise of cider being poured from a pump. After a night of hard partying...we'd rapidly descended back into our old ways...waving goodbye to the caravan site...and hello to a 45 degree hill where we fell back to sleep and awoke in a crumpled heap somewhere near the kitchenette. Queenstown had been good...but it was time to get back to the crunch...and onwards into Fiordland.....
