English Theme Pub
A British theme pub, restaurant and shop located on Santa Monica Boulevard, with a menu that includes Steak and Kidney Pie, Fish 'n’ Chips, Bangers and Mash, Bread and Butter Pudding and pints of Guinness, my hopes were high. I ordered the classic British dish of Fish 'n’ Chips and instead of getting fresh fried chips and freshly battered fish that I would have hoped for, the serving was more akin to oven chips and a Birdseye battered fish that you can buy from a supermarket. To top it all, the bar was showing a basketball game on the TV. Now that would never, and I mean NEVER, happen in a British pub!
On the plus side the friendly service was excellent and the connected shop did sell HP Sauce, PG Tips, Twiglets and Parma Violets!
All-in-all, a disappointing eating experience.
