How long can I live out of one bag?

I've bought my ticket, quit my job, sold my car, had my vaccinations and raided my savings. I've packed everything I'm taking with me into one backpack plus a small messenger bag for my guide book, camera and whatnot.

I hope that I've not forgotten anything! (If it's not already in the bag it can't be that important, right?)

Tomorrow I fly from from London Heathrow to Bangkok, via Singapore, and start my first backpacking trip around the world.

My route:

• I start in Thailand for a month with possible stays in nearby Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
• I then move on through Malaysia and into Singapore.
• I will fly from Singapore to Bali and then back to Singapore and on to Sydney, Australia.
• Next stop will be New Zealand.
• Then there's a short stay in the Cook Islands, before flying across the Pacific to Los Angeles.
• My trip should conclude with a flight back to London from New York.

That's the plan at least!
