The blowhole

Went to Sydney to relax, spend time with some family and friends. Also wanted to visit places I missed during my previous trips. Took road trips to Manly, Wollongong, Kiama, Minnamurra, Brighton Le-sands, and La Perouse.

The blowhole

So we finally get to the blowhole point at Kiama.  You just look and wait until the waves hit the rocks then...wooosh! The water from the sea sprays through the hole in the rocks and goes high up in the air.  After seeing the infamous blowhole, we explored a little and walked on the rocks below.  Carefully, of course, lest we slip, fall and hit the rocks hard!  Then we went back up the deck too see the view.  It was nice to just listen to the sound of the waves.  It's been raining so we were lucky the weather was good while we were at Kiama.  There are nice little areas for picnics, but the wind was so strong, a picnic wasn't really ideal.  People were mainly taking photos, appreciating the views and simply hanging around with family or friends.

There was a visitor centre there, too, so we took a peek at more brochures and some of the souvenirs being sold there.  We had our own little picnic in the car, haha, then headed off to Minnamurra.
