We went to his grave at the Jardines Montenegro cemetery near the Itaguí metro station. His Grave was easily spotted.
Our taxi driver Oscar took us to the house where Pablo Escobar was killed. He was killed on the roof top while gun fighting with the police. The House is abandoned.
We also went to the La Catedral, It used to be his own private luxurious private prison. We had to go through many steep and rocky roads and it was very high up in the hills surrounding Medellin. Prior to the destruction of La Catedral, it had a soccer field, a giant doll house, a bar, jacuzzi, and a waterfall. After Escobar escaped from his prison and got killed on the rooftop of the house we visited. Many nearby residents and police searched the grounds for valuables of Escobar. All his buildings was bombed, searched and was left to deteriorated over the years.
Currently, The land and property is on the process of becoming a Catholic Spiritual Center. There is a cross standing at the old guard tower over looking the city. While we were visiting, many construction workers are cutting trees, grass and building the foundation of the chapel.
Next Day..... Our trek to Guatape and El Penol
