This was my 2nd visit to Arizona. The first time was for business, and I drove from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon by myself. It was a wonderful experience, but I really wanted to share it with someone special. So my mom and I agreed to meet in Phoenix over Labor Day weekend in 2004. Enjoy the visit!

Coconino National Forest

The next morning we headed north from Phoenix towards the Grand Canyon. On our way, we stopped at Coconino National Forest, the Belle Vista entrance, to be exact. Since we were on a mission to get to the Grand Canyon, we only spent a half hour looking around at the Red Rocks. I know, I know, shame on us. This was my second time visiting the Forest, and I definitely am going back to hike and explore the Forest in depth.
