Punta Hermosa - Nice beaches near Lima :)

Although Lima is located on a cliff, the beaches in front of the city are not the best, to swim I mean. Just have to drive a bit south or north to find nice beaches. This one is located 40km south and is good to relax, surf and just enjoy a laid back day far away from the big city.
I have been going to Punta Hermosa since I was a little girl and is nice. A couple of years ago, I rented an apartment for summer time. It's like a small town with all the services you'd need. Lima's winter is not so cold, nevertheless during winter this place is like a ghost town, too foogy and humid. But during summer (Dec-early Apr) it's great!
