Rounding the Shadows of Cusco

The day after, we decided to hit some local museums.  We asked a local kid to tell us about the museums and pointed us to the tright direction.   We thanked him and gave him some money; he then followed us.  As we are to enter the, the kid (nico) asked if we have the tourist certificate.  The certificate is bought at the local Cusco tourist office for $20.  This certificate gives you access to any museum and local ruins, you are not allowed anywhere if you don't have one.  We headed back down to the Plaza and bought ours.  The certificate keeps track of visitors and is kind of a registration to every tourist/visitor in the area.

We headed back up again and paid 6 soles to get into the museum.    There was a mommie and many artifacts used by the incas.   This is underground and very small, it is also dark and can get crowded.

Things to know:
You need a tourist certificate - $20.00
There is a tourist office across from the Plaza.
You need Soles to pay anywhere.
There are several exchange booths and shops, there are also banks around
Watch out for fake Soles coins, always look at the change even if you don't what to look for.
If possible ask to get paper 1 Sol bills.
