A very pleasant weekend in the delightful Scandinavian paradise of Oslo... I got to see most of the city, ponder on some ancient Viking ships, trek through the forests, marvel at a huge ski jump and revel in the delicious happiness that permeates this side of the world. I firmly believe that when we die and go to heaven we simply spend our summers travelling between Australia and Scandinavia. The angels are simply the people that live there... Jeg elsker Norge!

I stayed in Oslo for the weekend and was very happy with the City Hotel.
It was very centrally located and very cheap. I paid about 40E for a single room which is exceptional in Oslo.

The room was very neat, tidy, safe and comfortable. The shower facilities were also great. The hotel was quiet and also very secure with a locked door at night and entry only via the receptionist letting you in.

It was located only a 5minute walk from the main city centre and only 2 minute walk from the central train station. Making it a fantastic location.

The only downside is at night there are a lot of prostitures on the street corners but they dont cause anyone any problems and Norway is in general one of the safest countries on the planet.

They also do a good breakfast for 50Kr (~6E) which is very good.

I would highly recommend it and definitely stay there again.

Enjoy!
