Lanta Island

I was sitting on the beach reading when I look up from the book and see this view.

I was working in phuket at the end of 2006. However, I met this family who want to go to Lanta island for work/holiday. So, i asked them to tag along..  I do not wish to bore you with the detail on how I convince them to take me with them. (Let just say, they are really nice family)

We left phuket early morning, the road trip is going north pass Phuket International airport and cross the bridge toward mainland thailand. The trip take around three half hour, although we stop by to have some breakfast in a local shop and we were driving really slow because there was children in the car.

The easiest way to to to Lanta island is using car and cross ferries. Yes, there are two ferries. One from the mainland to Lanta Yai (big lanta), which most of the island is national park so there is no activities there.

Finally, we arrive and check in a small hotel with beach front, there is a small pool there also but I bring my books and ready for a stress free day. After we had our lunch, get my book and a beach chair. The time seem to pass really quickly when we most relax.. I read the book and looking up to beach and sea, to distract me from my book from time to time, smoking grass strech my leg. Before I realised it it was nearly dark already! As we all wish to have a relaxing night that night, we had dinner and some beers in the hotel bar next to the beach. I then went back to my beach chair and some how went to sleep right there on he beach. I woke up again around 2 am and kindda looking around feeling really cold.

Wake up fresh and really nice  weather..  We going to a trip on the west side of the island first.. we stop by and have some coffee inside a really nice hotel (let's just do not mention names) and the coffee shop was made from coconut tree.. (the nicest coconut tree structure I ever seen), then we go to a private property because the family that I came with had a real estate business there in lanta island. i look at the private properties.. by ATV (All terrain vehicle) the 5 of us on a small vehicle (let's just say not a smoothest ride) then we went to the tip of the penesula. We stay there for half hour to enjoy the view.
