Second Stop: Neumunster, Germany
My next stop was in Northern Germany, at a small town called Neumunster. (I used "Hamburg" in the heading so the map would be correct - I guess Neumunster is too small to be "validated" by Travbuddy.)
My good friend lives here, and he was hosting a big celebration for his 40th birthday. I couldn't miss it!! Definitely worth flying across the US / Atlantic for the festivities - he had rented out a restaurant / discotec!
The weekend was full of friends, food, and drinks. Saturday, the actual day of his birthday, we played a soccer game then cleaned up and went to a great dinner. After dinner, the lights dimmed, the music cranked, and we danced all night long - getting home well after 4am.
Ah good times - but boy Sunday was rough!
And to be fair - this friend also has an adorable little girl. She and I had a fun time trying to communicate with sounds and funny faces rather than English or German.
