Day Three - The White Inn
After riding along the shore of Lake Erie and making a stop at Dunkirk Lighthouse, it was time for lunch. I had heard about the town of Fredonia in one of my travel books, so we made a little detour. It was lunchtime and Jerry had a massive migraine. Time to stop and let him regroup and, hopefully, get over his headache.
We weren't disappointed. The White Inn is a beautiful turn-of-the-century home that has been lovingly restored and maintained over the years. It is now a Bed and Breakfast, but it does offer lunch and dinner on certain days of the week. While we sat on the large covered porch of the mansion, we enjoyed watching all the motorcycles come and go up and down Main Street in front of the Inn. In my mind I couldn't help but think, "I wonder where they are coming from and where they are going?"
Lunch was delicious and Jerry recovered nicely from his headache. It's amazing what a little caffeine and Aleve can do!! Now it was time to head out for the world-famous Niagara Falls.
