Alghero a Catalan town is located on the coast of a beautiful bay on the nort-west of Sardinia. Catalan because of it's past under Aragonese rule, the architecture, the city walls, the towers and the gothic bell towers. A little bit of Spain in Italy or known as small Barcelona. As walking thru the old town starting off from the oldest pier, the buildings which typically urban and some buildings have been restored. Walking along the maze of streets of the old town I found small shops with designer clothes, jewellries, pastries and cafes. I enjoyed seeing the magnificient cliffs, rugged hills and some beautiful sceneries.
Went to Capo Caccia by car, 24 km from the town area. Arrived at Capo Caccia, we follow the path on the side of the Cape to take the Escala 600 steps were cut into the rock face as we descended 110 metres to the entrance to the caves, the walk itself is a great experience, I was amazed the impressive caverns of natural lace work of stalactites and stalagmites, saline waters create an unreal world in the islands most beautiful and famous caves.
