Wandering around Barcelona

Finally after months of cold, gray weather in Poland, I get to spend a weekend in Barcelona. A new airline, Clickair, is offering great deals from Warsaw to Barcelona - round trip for around 200 Euros. This is fantastic compared with what we'd been paying previously - over twice as much. While in Barcelona, I has to take my favorite walk: (I strongly recommend this and would be glad to accompany anyone that I happen to coincide with!) from my place in the Vila Olimpica, through El Born, across Via Laietana, by the Cathedral, up to Plaça Catalunya to Passeig de Gràcia, up to Diagonal and then back down to Gran Via by way of Rambla de Catalunya. After that, I wander through Plaça de Catalunya again and down the Ramblas to el Port Vell, cross through Barceloneta to the beach and walk along the beach back to my place...
Ok, it's a long walk, but a great one. The buildings, fountains, sculptures, people, shop windows - everywhere you look there's something interesting or beautiful or both.
I have a lot of pictures of things to do and see along the way, but loading them up into this web takes a lot of time - so, "a poc a poc" - little by little I'll get them loaded in. I hadn't been on Rambla de Catalunya since last Christmas time (I think) and I was surprised to see a lot of interesting sculptures adorning the street.
