On September 14,2007, I went to Malaysia for a weekend leisure travel. My trip fell on the week after the 50th Independence celebration of Malaysia, and a week before the Chinese Mooncake Festival. It was the week commencing Ramadan, the 30 days fasting period for the Muslims before Eid al Fitr, the festival after the last day of Ramadan.

Jalan Alor Food Galore

Jalan Alor is KL's food street where you find a variety of Malay,Indian,Thai & Chinese food on sale. My favorite area is the Chinese food section at the end of Jalan Alor before turning right going to the monorail station. Do not expect class A fine dining. But it's fun to mix with the crowd and eat at the hawkers right on the street. Jalan Alor is where I had my dinners as it was just a 5-minute walk from Jalan Tongkat Tong Shin, the street where the guesthouse I stayed at was located.
