venice is so beautiful
Oh dear waking up was not fun. Not fun at all. I was very very ill this morning after last nights wine experience lol. I somehow managed to make it to the little supermarket and bought a massive bottle of water and Gatorade to get re-hydrated. I must of looked bad because the guy at the till just laughed at me and was like, “are you ok?” haha. I got some for Melissa too because I knew she would probably not be feeling that well when she woke up. She was though in better shape then me lol. After a while of lounging around we went and got the bus into the city to do our site seeing in Venice. Venice is truly an amazing city. With all the water everywhere and all the bridges, it is just so beautiful. We walked around a whole bunch of little stalls and looked at knick knacks etc and then we started to head towards St.

Mark’s square. There is only 3 bridges that cross the grand canal and we went over the Rialto bridge which was pretty sweet. Really crowded though. We were basically walking down a whole bunch of random little alley ways just following the signs to St. Mark’s square. We eventually made it there and we bought some food to feed the birds. I tried to feed them but any time they got anywhere near me I would freak out and throw the food and then they would scatter away. Melissa on the other hand had no fear and the birds just flocked to her and would sit on her arms and shoulders and eat the food right out of her hand. We hung around here for a while just checking things out and what not. Then we caught the water bus back to where the train station is so we could catch the bus to go back to the camp ground. We got some food first because it was about a 45 minute wait until our bus when all of a sudden it started lightning and thundering and pouring rain! It was coming down so hard and we got caught in the middle of everything and got soaking wet which sucked.

Everyone was trying to find some sort of shelter to get out of the rain and it was crazy. When we got back to the camp ground I can’t really remember what we did. I think we just hung around the pin and then we had dinner in the restaurant and called it an early night and went to bed and didn’t drink this time lol.
