Melissa and I on Charles bridge
Today we decided would be the day that we went around Prague
and saw all the awesome sites. We got up and walked to the Old Town square as it was soo close to our hostel. We took some pictures there and then we started walking through the alleys that lead off of it looking at all the little stores and occasionaly stoping to buy a post card or something. From the square we walked by the big theatre and we came up to the river just a little past Charles bridge so we decided to walk there and go over the bridge to head to Prague castle and such. The bridge was pretty sweet, it's really pretty and there are so many people along it selling little knick knacks and jewlery and there were also street preformers too.
It was pretty hot outside so we decided to stop for lunch. We sat for a good hour or so because we were just kind of pooped and we sat and looked through all our pictures we had taken over the trip so far. Then we went up to Prague castle. We didn't go in but we walked around the outside and took some nice pictures and we got some pictures outside of the church. We thought it cost money to go in so we didn't but we later found out that it was free so that sucked but I really want to go to Prague again when I'm living in London so hopefully I'll see it then. After the castle we kind of just sat in a park on the outside of the castle for a while and then we decided to walk back to the hostel. On the way back we stopped and put our feet in a pond and then walked back along to river.
Fun times :D
Just as we got back to the hostel it started hailing sooo hard!! They were soo big and it hurt when they hit you. Luckily it started as we were about 5 seconds away from our hostel so it wasn't that bad. After the hail came the rain and it was coming down pretty hard. We were just hanging out in the hostel having some dinner and we met some new people. We met Jalila and Aaron and some other people but those are the only two I really remember because we hung out with them the most. Jalila is from Ontario and Aaron is from the states and him and his 2 friends were driving across Europe. We just hung out at the hostel for a long time drinking and what not. Then we decided to go to the Karlovy Lazne dance club which is the biggest nightclub in europe. It's 5 floors and each floor has a different theme. It was really awesome! The first floor was top 40, the 2nd was all techno, the third was rap music, the 4th was like 70's, and the 5th was more of a lounge hang out area and I don't really remember what kind of music they played there haha. It was really sweet though and we met some cool people there and danced lots and just had fun!
