me and the dancing building

Today was our last day and one of our best days in Prague!! The BEST thing happened this morning when we woke up. So I walked into the lounge and Jalila was sitting around with some people and laughing alot. I was like what's going on and this guy just looked at me. He had NO EYEBROWS!!!! LOL omg it was soo funny!! Apparently the night before he did 4 shots of Absynth, passed out and woke up with no eyebrows. He was out with 7 other guys and he had no idea which one did it. I don't think I have ever laughed sooo hard! Anyways that day we decided that we wanted to go see that dancing building so after we got up and about we walked down there as it didn't take too long to get their from our hostel. It's a pretty cool building and it's crazy how distorted it looks.

Waiting for our paddle boat
As we were walking back along the river we saw a whole bunch of people on those little paddle boats where you pedal and then you kind of sail on the water. We thought that it looked pretty fun so we decided to go check it out. We went to the dock and it turns out that it was only about $5 cdn each for an hour on the water so we decided why not! We had to wait a little while for a paddle boat to become available but it didn't take that long. It was soo fun too!! I will admit that it was a little tiring trying to pedal really hard so that we could move fast. For the most part we kind of just sailed around and only pedaled when we got too close to other boats or anything. While we were out on the water there was a whole bunch of baby ducks that came near our boat (possibly because we were feeding them chips) and they were sooo cute!! I really like baby ducks hehe.

After that we went to the Divadlo Hybernia theatre to by our tickets to the black light play. We saw a whole bunch of ads for these plays and we decided that we really wanted to see one while we were there. It was a pretty nice theatre and the tickets were only $25 so it wasn't too bad. Well we bought the tickets but the show wasn't until later that night. Then we headed to good ol Alberts and bought some just add water brocolli and cheese soup and more big beers for dinner. We had a couple hours until the play so we just hung out in the lounge area of our hostel drinking beer and playing the best card game ever ultimate speed. We then made our soup which did not turn out too well sadly. It was a powdered soup and it did not go well. We stirred soo much but there were still chunkys and it didn't taste that great.
hehe ducks!! :D
Oh well! After dinner we went to the play which was "The Legend of Golem." So this play wasn't bad or anything but it was the exact opposite of what we thought it would be. Now when we saw ads for blacklight plays I honestly pictured people in bright coloured suits running around and doing crazy movements under black lights. I think that's what Melissa thought it would be as well. Anyways this play wasn't like that. It was actually a "blacklight and multi visual play." The play was in Czech but there were english subtitles and from reading them this is pretty much the plot that I got: So there was the Jewish town and the Christian town. The Christian town was being affected by the plague but the jewish town wasn't so they christians believed that it was the jews' fault for bringing on the plague and they started a war i guess you could call it on the jews.
our really gross brocolli soup
The only problem though was that a jewish girl was in love with a christian boy and vice versa. Now the rabbi requested help from god from the christians and god told him to call on Golem which is some thing (I honestly don't know what kind of creature thingy he was) who would protect the jews. But when the rabbi and the people who resurected Golem did the ceremony it was done incorrectly so he wasn't properly summond and he was able to go against the rabbis orders which was bad because that meant he could do evil things. As well because he was summond incorrectly he was able to fall in love and he just so happened to fall in love with the jewish girl who was already in love with the christian boy.
Cast of the play on the 10th or so curtain call lol
The jewish girl and the christian boy were planning on running away with each other and Golem took on the appearance of the jewish girl and told the christian boy that she didn't love him anymore and didn't want to run away. And then Golem took on the appearance of the christian boy and killed a jewish guy so it made it look like he commit the murder. So it was a huge fight and in the end Golem told the truth because he realised he loved the jewish girl but could  not be with her as he had "veins of sand" and was evil at heart. So he told the truth and destroyed himself and the jewish girl and christian boy were all happy together. So it wasn't a bad play or anything but I think parts of it were badly translated.
plants...pants..the newest fashion statement lol
There were a whole bunch of funny lines that didn't make any sense like, "I expect to have secretly meetings with you" hehe. At then end they did about 15 curtain calls and we were soo confused and didn't know if the play actually ended or not? All in all a good time haha. After that we went back to the hostel and there were a TON of people just hanging out in the lounge room playing drinking games and getting roudy. It was a lot of fun and then after we went out to a bar with some of the new people we met and our trip twins and had a good night which included lots of drinking and potted plants hanging off pants.
