Lounging around in Cologne
I was planning on sleeping in but since there was a buffet breakfast at our hostel which was included in the price, I woke up so I could take full advantage of that. I was still wanting more sleep so after the free breakfast I went back to bed until 2pm :) We didn't really know much about Cologne so we didn't do anything exciting. When we finally got up and out of bed we went to a starbucks and then got some ice cream. We watched some of the music from the festival for a bit and then we headed for the nearest park because we just wanted to lie around in the shade and relax. While we were walking through the park we saw the grossest thing!! So here we are just walking, you know minding our own business, and then right in the middle of the park two people are just going to town on each other. Right in the middle of the park!!! And it was right by a childrens play park as well, just out in the open, doing whatever they wanted like no one else was around. We were so shocked and couldn't believe what we actually just saw. Anyways in the park there was a huge pond and it was pretty hot so we just sat around for a while with our feet in it and it was pretty nice. That night we went out for dinner with two of my roomies whose names I can't remember and it was alright. I went to a jazz bar with them after and had some drinks and then we had a couple back at the hostel but it was a rather early night
