Last Day in London!

Saying bye to Chris

Today was our last day in London and it was a blast!! Unfortunately it was our last day with my friend Chris so after breakfast we walked him to the tube station so he could catch it to the proper train station. After that Melissa and I went back to Traflagar square again where we wrote some postcards and mailed them away. Then we went on a journey to find the Drury Lane theatre to get a picture for Lindsay (Melissa's sister) Well since we had walked that far we just kept going and going and eventually we walked our way to St. Pauls catherdal and today it was open!! We went inside and it was amazing! So beautiful! While we were in there we climbed the 434 stairs all the way to to top and we had an amazing view of the city. I'd even say it was a better view then from the London eye (except that you can't see the Parliament buildings) and it was for half the price! From St.

Pauls we crossed the bridge to The Globe theatre. We never got to go inside the theatre but we did take some pictures outside of it and we saw the snazy gift shop haha. We had been walking for about 5 hours that day so we took the tube from the London Bridge station back to Piccadilly and then we got some dinner. Then on a whim when we were passing those theatre ticket places we found some really good cheap tickets to Lion King so we decided to buy them and go see the play and it was friggen awesome!! I loved it and our seats were pretty amazing. After that we just went back to the hostel, we had to be up earlyish the next day for our train to Bath! All in all London was an awesome time and I love the city so much!! Which is probably why I'm moving there in Jan. 2008....hehe :D

"Set against the majesty of the Serengeti Plains and to the evocative rhythms of Africa, Disney's multi-award winning musical 'The Lion King' will redefine your expectations of theatre. A spectacular visual feast, this adaptation of Disney's much-loved film transports audiences to a dazzling world that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands."- www.londonmusicalticket.com

Right away this play takes your breath away. The opening scene is amazing where all the animals come down through the audience in their huge costumes and make it to the stage. The costumes for this play were just totally amazing!! They all had huge costumes that made them look like the animals they were supposed to be. I was really impressed with the acting, especially since there were children in this play being the part of Simba and Nala. We had about 4th row seats for only 25 pounds and we got the tickets that day from one of those booths. Definately think everyone should see this play if they can. It brings back memories from the movie as a kid!

You are so right. This show is AMAZING!!! I was lucky enough to see it in New York and Seoul, South Korea. Even when completely performed in Korean (I don't speak a word of Korean) it was still incredible. :~)
