Fun :)
Today I woke up feeling very uncool. I only had 2 beer the night before but that space cake just really took it out of me I guess. All it did was make me really sleepy but the next morning I woke up feeling like I got hit by a truck!! I had the biggest headache and just felt sick all over. Once I had a shower though I started to feel better. Our first order of business today (after food ofcourse hehe) was to go to the train station and book our over night tickets from Cologne to Krakow. We had to wait quite some time at the reservation place so that sucked but oh well. Earlier we had met an Aussie guy named Dylan in our dorm and Melissa, Bailey, April, and I met up with him at the Heineken Brewery! It was a pretty cool tour and you get 3 beers with it as well as a cool Heineken opener.

I'd say it was pretty worth the "Heineken Experience" hehe. After that we decided to do something oober touristy and we went wax museum. They all look really real and it was awesome to get pictures with the famous people haha. That night April and Bailey just wanted to lay low and some some opieum so Melissa and I went on our own "pub crawl" with Dylan and another guy whose name I can't remember from our dorm. We went to a couple bars and me and guy from our dorm ended up losing Melissa and Dylan along the way. Me and guy from our dorm went to a couple more bars and then just went back to the hostel and this time Melissa was there! haha

Hmm what can I say about this hostel..it was alright. Definately not our first choice of where we wanted to stay but we had no choice as everything was booked up! This hostel is located fairly close to the main train station and it's right in the Red Light distric!! Downstairs there is a fairly large bar although I never really seemed to see any people in it and there is also some pool tables for people to play. As well as internet for about 1 euro for 10 minutes. There is also a patio area outback where you sit along the canal and you can order foor from the bar as it is a bar/restaurant. Our room which was a 22 bed dorm was located on the 4th floor up some very very steep stairs with no lift haha. Our dorm was pretty casual and laid back with the door always open as there was no door knob on the door. In the room was all bunk beds which were kind of in bad shape with one communal chair to get up to the top bunk. If you need to get into bed you would just take the chair and then leave it by your bunk for the next person to come get if they needed to get in their bunk etc etc. As there was no door knob to lock our dorm our room had lockers in it which were pretty good quality. The bathrooms were OK but the showers were NASTY!! They were in these little rooms that had no fan or anything so it got really steamy and it was impossible to get dry. As well there was only one drain which was on the other side of the "room" uphill so the water never actually made it to the drain and kind of just floated around your feet. Ew gross. Well these were the showers we had on the 4th floor for our dorm but I'm not sure how they were for the 2nd and 3rd floor so if you stay here, better luck!
