Me and Chris with one of those cool guard people
This was our 2nd day in London but our first official full day in Europe! Its hard to remember all the we did because it was so long ago but we walked around London. Went back to Trafalgar square becuase it's so close to where we were staying and we went to the National Museum and the portrait museum because they were free!! Melissa and I aren't big fans of art though...besides this one and the Louvre in Paris we didn't go to any galleries or museums cause that's just not our thing lol. We just walked around and looked at painting and tried to avoid this creepy spanish guy. A really funny thing happened in the National Gallery though...you know how there is those boxes that you can donate money to since the museum is free? Well we saw this one that was clear and you could see all the money and it was open at the top (or so I thought) anyways as i was walking towards the box i thought to myself, "thats weird that the top is open, anyone could just stick their hand in there and take the money.
Me and Chris at Big Ben!
" so i THROW my money at the "open" top and it goes EVERYWHERE and its rolling all around the ground lo. turns out there was a little money slot on top that i didn't notice. yeah how smart am i? it might not sound so funny typed out like this but i guess its just one of those moments where you had to be there lol. after the gallieries we went to a restaurant called garfunkels and we had lunch. i cannot drink the tap water in london cause its just gross and it made me throw up yuck. Anyways i met a friend online who lives in Nottingham, England and he was coming down to London to hang out with Melissa and I for 2 days. He said he wouldn't be in till around 3 so Melissa and I decided to go have a nap while we waited for him because we were tired but as we were walking through the lobby of our hostel he was there.
Me at West Minster Abbey
crazy timing eh?? it was kind of akward at first cause i had never met him before but i talked to him for like 2 years so the akwardness went away in like half hour. After we settled into our room (we moved to another room so that we could be in the same room with Chris) we went out around town again. We walked to West Minster Abbey and went in there which was totally cool. Just wish I could have taken some pics and then I would remember what it looked like more. We then got some pics at the parliament buildings and with Big Ben. Then we walked over to the London Eye and went on that. It was cool cause its a London thing and I can say I've done it but for 14.50 pounds it was totally not worth it!! thats almost like $40 cdn. then we went for dinner at some place i dont remember the name and for some weird reason i remember that melissa took her tomato out of her sandwhich and had a bite even though she doesn't like tomatos.
this was at the place where you buy tickets to get on the eye...i don't know why lol
dont ask me why but  this is one thing that has just stuck in my memory and its so stupid lol. oh yeah also when we were walking around london we walked by scotland yard and where the prime minister lives and stuff. on our way back to our hostel we came along this huge crowd with paparazi and stuff cause apparenently this famours person in the UK abby tisdale  or something that may be wrong was inside the hard rock cafe in piccadilly circus. we went back to the hostel and napped for like an hour and then we decided to go out!!! we went to a pub called the crooked surgeon and we had a beer and then we left so we could find a different pub that served guiness so i could have one with chris cause its his favourite drink. anyways we went to oniels pub and had some guiness.
Chris, Melissa and me on the eye
we also had a few too many shots of aftershock. well atleast i did lol. i ended up being totally tanked lol. it was melissas 19th birthday at 12:01 and some people overheard me saying happy birthday and it was one of their birthdays as well (sean) so we started hanging out with them. this is where we met sean, mann, francesca, and dan. anyways i remember meeting them but the rest of the night is fuzzy. i also remember talking to a bouncer outside cause i may have got kicked out? either then that not much of that night is with me lol. apparently i threw up..i found this out later from chris and melissa lol. anyways it was an AWESOME first night "out" and i had so much fun!
