Our First Day in Spain!!!

The build up to this day was filled with so much excitement. We had planned this trip out for over a year, and finally we had come to May 13, 2007. We left Connecticut around noon for JFK airport in New York, to get there with plenty of time for our International flight. It was nice having a non-stop flight right to Barcelona, and the flight was not a bad experience for us at all. Landing in Barcelona, the weather was not very good. It was pretty cloudy and rainy, but lucky for us, this was only 1 of 2 times we would see rain, and each for a very short period of time. The rain stoppped and the sun came out around noon that day, about the same time we met up with Juan, who was showing us to our apartment we had rented in Barcelona. This might have been why we loved Barcelona so much. Our apartment was in an area between the Palau de la Musica Catalana and the Santa Caterina market, an area we really loved being in. After settling in, we were extremely exhausted and went right to the bed to take a nap. Waking up several hours later, we finally got out first taste of Barcelona, walking around the streets, and having dinner at a very nice, small restaurant. We went back to our apartment, and went to sleep, very excited to have out first full day in Barcelona on the horizon.
