Big Ben.
An American friend that I meet in England and I thought it would be a nice day to go to London. We drove down to the Cambridge train station and parked at the pay and display lot. It was only a few pounds to park for the day and I thought I could use my credit card since it only took coins. I put my credit into the machine and hit the print ticket button. As I looked at the ticket I saw I paid to park for the week at 28 pounds. After we both read everything on the machine there was nothing to say that you could only use a credit card if you are paying for the week. So here is a tip ALWAYS CARRY COINS. The train ticket was about 20 pounds each for the round trip and the all day tube pass. The ride was a little under an hour.
It was a beautiful sunny day in London and a good thing I always keep my sunglasses with me (it’s a southern thing). We decided to do our own sight seeing tour; which meant that we ended up doing a lot of walking. That was until the evening, where we ended up bar hopping in Soho. Soho has lots of pubs and a decent night life seen. Happy hour seems to be universal at around 5-7 pm. We ended up stumbling our way back to Cambridge.
