Few years ago Lodz was know as the city where you have the highest amount of... partying places situated on one street. Well...daaaa... If it comes to Lodz we have the highest amount of everything situated on one street, cause practicaly, nothing that is outside matters.
The amount of pubs, clubs, discos and similar places in Lodz is just out of this world. On every yard there you will find at least two or three places where you can step in for a drink, to dance or to chat with your friends. What I like most is that every place has it's own atmosphere and unique climate, so you can choose what kind of music you would like to hear, what would you like to order, and what kind of people would you like to meet there.
For years I had, of course, few places that I liked most, and where I was able to meet my friends. So, if you will be in Lodz one day, choose some cool place and enjoy. Or better yet, choose few places, nights in Poland are quite long now ;>
I'm putting photos from different parties (house parties, clubs, outsides), but I think it would be good to have them in one place. For now my photos shows Funaberia, Piwnica Plastykow, Fabryka and Logo Pubs, I know, that you won't see many architectonical details, but maybe you're interested.

Mainly for students. Located in basement. Very comfortable & cozy place. Lokal studencki. Good, strong green tables (you can dance on them :>). Interior decorations are books and pre-war magazines.

As soon as guests enter the pub, the centrally situated bar catches their eye. Sitting at it, one can admire the perfectly designed interior painted in soft colours, or observe the barman presenting his freestyle bartending skills.
The drinks and dishes here are as they should be: Irish coffee, Irish whiskey and good European cuisine. It's worth recommending Irlandzka Niespodzianka (Irish Surprise) and Irlandzki Ogień(Irish Flame) which the barman lights on a three-layer drink (whisky, Bailey's, peppermint liqueur). It must be drunk immediately when served, and through a straw not to get burned. A good choice among dishes is Zestaw Dublin (set Dublin Meal) - 18 zlotys: turkey breast coated with breadcrumbs and baked potatoes, croquettes, green beans and mushrooms.
The pub's space offers favourable conditions for organizing dancing parties and events for many friends or business partners. No admittance under 21.

Lodz Kaliska Pub is one of the most famous pubs in Lodz. It was founded in 1996. It's pretty amazing place because of the architecture, climat, and interior decorations. Girls visiting Lodz Kaliska Pub might be shocked because of the ladies room on first floor. Instead of wall in the toilet there is one-way mirror where you can see everything in the main room (don't worry, they won't see you). The walls are slanting and tables have phallic ornaments. Theres is also "the drunken table" with wavy table top, column covered in colourful fur and more. If you are interested how does fin de siecle looked like you have to go there.
Lodz Kaliska Pub is well known from it's artistic, bohemian atmosphere.
Concerts are also very popular- every Thursday
Entrance is free. Beer costs about 7 zł.
