Fountain of Bling
After finishing up our last day of Quality Control, most of us spent the night out. We are trying to maximize the week we have left in Singapore by hitting all of the sites we haven't yet seen.
Tonight we went to the Fountain of Wealth, the World's largest fountain, which was located in the Suntec City Mall across the street from the Esplanade and Colours on the Bay (where we ate for Jaime's Birthday). Ate some Asian food in the food court at the mall and went to go see the laser show at the fountain which ended up being American music with some colored lights. Fountain was pretty neat though. Very modern. Apparently it was one of the stops on the Amazing Race when it came to Singapore.
We shopped for about an hour and a half before coming back. We happen to be visiting during the month of the Great Singapore Sale, a yearly event where everything is discounted...it makes it hard to not buy a lot here, esp. since Singaporeans seem to share my affinity for shoes and bags.
Heading to Siem Riep and Angkor Wat in a couple hours (our flight actually leaves at 4 a.m.) but I will return on Sunday to let you know how it went.
