I opted for the Confucius Temple (Fuzi Miao) because it was easy. I'll save the park for tomorrow. I got dropped off at the end of a pedestrian-only street, which had boring stores. The first thing of interest that I came upon was the Qin Huai River and the Wende Bridge. After a bunch of pictures, I went to the temple. Inside was a path lined with statues of some of Confucius' famous disciples. There was thankfully no incense in either of the burners! Behind the main statue of Confucius was a hall with a performance (when I get access to YouTube, I'll put that video up).
Nothing else of interest, so I left the temple. Outside was a tree that looked like it was made of gold (and it had red ribbons)! Not real, but oh well.
In the temple, the rain began again. So I got another taxi, and went back to the hotel. My fingers are crossed for better weather tomorrow.
