I was looking forward to this for quite a while. At first Librette and I were going to get the 600 yuan VIP tickets which were up on a balcony, looked like at a table...actual seats. But they'd sold out and we got the 500 yuan tickets...right in front of the stage!!! It was going to be cool. Well, I was in at the school for 9:40, and thankfully that class hadn't been booked. So I had two face-to-face classes on the day. At about 6:15, I met Librette in the metro where we cracked open some beer and started. The venue was easy enough to find, it was right off the YongHeGong metro stop. We had time, so we went into a convenience store for some food (ice cream cone and Orion moon pies...dinner of champions).
The most notable thing was the fight. Yes, there was a fight. Some girl tried pushing her way through to the front (fair enough), but she didn't give Librette a chance to move before shoving her, so Librette started in...then I did. Nothing came of it, the girl backed off quickly.
After the show we met up with Wandi and a couple other people and headed up to an area I'd never been. We were going to go to a club, but I wasn't comfortable with all the people, plus I wanted food, so Librette headed in alone and the rest of us went to a restaurant nearby. And that it was it...
