We started off the day by going to MoMa (Museum of Modern Art). I didn't know what to expect walking in, but i really enjoyed it! The renovations they did were absolutely wonderful. Everything is so clean, modern, and chic. I loved almost all of the art there, despite most of it being pretty wacky. (See my review). Me and my parents then went to NYU to walk around a bit. I am considering applying there undergraduate so it was great to see the campus. Unfortunately, there were no tours open since it was a Saturday. However, one of the guards gave us a huge booklet on the Arts & Sciences sector of NYU. The campus was beautiful and the buildings had great architecture. When i apply to college, I'd definitely like to be in an urban area, because I love the city and everything that comes with it.
NYU would be a great school to go to (if i got in, that is....they receive 30,000 applications each year). After walking around the "campus" of NYU, we then went to CNN studios and took a tour. It was really interesting, because we got to see everything from how news is gathered, the different stages of a news story, the graphic design of the actual News show, the filming studios, and the camera. I'm a big fan of CNN, so it was great to see the studios. Some things there were just so fascinating. After watching a movie on being a news anchor, we stepped outside of CNN studios and walked around. We passed Trump Tower, which was enormous and pretty grand looking. We saw some black squirrels, which startled me because I've only seen grey squirrels where i live in Massachusetts. We walked around Central Park, which was beautiful, even in the wintertime. We went back to our hotel and relaxed before meeting my brother Peter at a Greek restaurant, Metsovo (See my review). We had a great time...the atmosphere was so peaceful and laid back. It was nice and dark, and there was a roaring fire that kept us warm throughout the night. A pleasant surprise from the icy air outside.
