After spending almost 2 full days travelling from Florence to Athens, we were fully exhausted and slept well our first night. We booked a dorm room with a few other people, but something happened were we got our own 2 person bunk bed room with a bathroom no one seemed to use outside the door for hte same price so it worked great. The next morning we got up trying to beat hte crowds to the Acropolis, but strangely they never came. We had the place largely to ourselves we was great. The view from the top is amazing, unfortunately the city of Athens isn't much to look at, the view from te bottom up to the top is much nicer. We spent a good few hours up there, looking at the Parthenon, and the other ruins up there. It was kind of disappointing to see that most of the temples are covered in scaffolding, but they are still quite imposing to see in person. After the Acropolis we went down to the Agora, which is muhc lik the Roman Forum, except that its more like where the regular peopel lived and hung out, a pretty cool place. There isn't too much to see throgh Athens after these sights and what we really wanted out of greece was the islands so we got our ticket and left at 7 30 the next morning to get to Santorini.
