We checked into our hostel on the Southbank after possibly the longest day of my god damn life, but at least the hostel is an awesome place. Lots of young people around, met a guy from New West, he seems to be having a pretty good time. Anyways, our flight was delayed for about an hour but other then that was perfect, we got out of the airport and on to the trains to london pretty easily, Gatwick is kind of a dump as is the area that we went through on the way in. We got out and walked around the city, up to St. Paul's Cathedral, and then crashed at 7:30 for the night. We got up the next day nice and early around 7 and were out of the hostel by 8, and got a bus pass to get around the city. We started going around the Tower of London and through the old city of london, then got off at Leicester Sq. and started walking around aimlessly, we eventually wandered down towards Buckingham Palace just in time for the changing of the guard, which was pretty lame actually, just a parade with horses and too many tourists. After that we walked past Hyde Park to Harrods, which is easily the most over the top store i have ever seen. there were at least 4-5 rolls royce on each block, we went in and the lady at the front showed us the food court which had £30 plates of nigiri and sashimi, but we found some good deals and got sandwiches there and left the place before we spent all our money. We walked by the Billionaire Couture, the name of an actual part of the store, toward the Natural History Museum which is filled with dinosaur bones and pretty much all the other animals htat have ever existed on the planet. Came back and went to the bar downstairs for the night, pretty fun crowd. Today we are going toward the Tower of London and who knows what else.
