This is Richie. I'm sure you can see why we were so taken by him :).
London is great.  I mean, I'm sure it's even better now that I'm just on vacation, but I think that this is really a place I could spend a lot of time.  The people are so very nice and the shopping is great, not to mention the amazing sites to see.  Here is a brief recap of what we've done so far:
Our first intro to London was on the bus from Oxford.  Our driver's name was Richie and he was precious.  I've included a photo of him here- the tattoos and hair paired with the accent were just too much.  We wanted to smuggle him off the bus!  He was very funny and made our 2 hour ride to London tolerable.

  Thanks Richie :).
Our first day consisted of shopping (surprise) near our hotel.  We were staying on near the High Street Kensington tube stop and there were lots of fun stores, including Muji and French Connection- both of which took lots of my money...   We followed that up with our first trip to G-A-Y, an infamous bar in the city.  Very fun :).
Day two consisted of meeting up with our friend Vince again- it's so nice to see more familiar faces!  We went to the Tate Modern Museum, which I loved, and then had champagne tea at Harvey Nichols.  It really was one of my favorite days on the whole trip- our tea was on the roof and we had an amazing view of the city.  I loved it!
Today we did some more shopping and I bought my new favorite jeans at FCUK.  I love them :).
The apparent symbol of Europride in London... very fun.
Then we went to the Europride parade, which was quite entertaining and a great experience overall.  It was cool that the whole city really seemed to be behind it- the police and fire department even had floats!  England played in what turned out to be their final World Cup game today as well, which was sad.  I had even bought a special hat with the Union Jack flag on it to pull for them, but it didn't seem to help.  The city was crazy afterwards, so we had a drink at a pub and then turned in early.  We tried to go to Tesco, a "24 hour" grocery store that is only open sometimes, and they were not open...  we ended up ordering food from an amazing Persian place down the street from the hotel and it was way better than what we could have gotten at the Tesco!
