Do we stay or do we go?
June 14, 2008
French couple were very cranky today because they couldn't sleep last night as the only source of warmth was the oven outside their window and so everyone had congregated there the night before.
We got up a 5am and first went to the geyser (man-made for an electricity production experiment), then the natural geysers and finally we arrived at the thermal baths where we had breakfast. Then we drove through past the Dali stones (Piedras de Dali) and the Green Lagoon before getting to the border at 9:30am.
Before long we were on a bus to San Pedro de Atacama. At the border we got our entry stamps to Chile and were then suddenly shown the bus on the other side of the road and asked whether we wanted to go to Argentina right now? Yes, why not - we were only planning to spend the night in San Pedro because we had read that the bus only went on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays so this would work perfectly for us.
