Moving on to Pamplona

Back at the Bus Terminal in San Gil I then looked around for a bus towards the border and to my horror found that the only option available was one of those companies with over 10 fatalities in the last year. However the gentleman at the taquilla assured me that that they had two drivers and that it was perfectly safe so I went with them, besides what other options did I have? The bus turned out to be actually one of the most comfortable ones I've ever been on, and I think I know a thing or two about buses after the last 6 months.

The drive from San Gil to Pamplona was quite spectacular, with windy roads through amazing valleys between high mountains. Especially the valley around Parque Nacional de Chicamocha was absolutely fantastic.
