Christmas shopping and Volcano Pacaya

In the afternoon we did a half day tour to Volcana Pacaya which was absolutely amazing. After a one hour bus trip and another 1 1/2 hour hike up the mountain we crossed a field of cold lava and came right up to a river of flowing lava. It was absolutely amazing and terrifying! Only in Guatemala!

We had made a booking for a hotel on the internet which we couldn't cancel so we moved out of Black Cat for one night and at midnight Nicole and I had a small Christmas ceremony in our hotel room.
