Weekend Surfing On The South Coast (11th-13th May 2007)

Victor Harbour Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Me and my mates George, Harfy and Henry decided to go surfing for a whole weekend in the Victor Harbour area (bout 1.5 hours from Adelaide where I live) since Harfy has a shack down there and after looking at the swell charts and seeing that there was some decent swell heading its way aswell as the area having offshore winds all weekend. we thought we should get out of the city and go and get some waves. yiew!

Saturday the 12th

Headed down to Victor on Friday night (the 11th) and had a few quiet beers at Harfys shack then went to bed early so we could wake up at 6 in the morning to for a surf at Middleton, a town near Victor (bout 5 minutes away i think) that has a decent beach break. Takes a while to paddle out tough.

We woke up at 6 in the morning and drove straight to Middleton and surfed for a good 2-3 hours before getting out and getting some brunch at the good old Middleton Bakery. After that we drove to the Newland ead conservation park (10 mins from Victor) which has 3 pretty good beach breaks which cop a lot more swell than the victor area and surfed there for a few more hours.
