Great Falls Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Hi All, Dave and I wanted to have you share in our trip this year as we travel. As I am new to this I have a feeling that there will be a learning curve. Will try to have some timely updates and photos. WELL, so much for timely updates. LOL We don't seem to be in WI FI world as much as I would like. Hang in there, I will keep adding at least where we have been. Enjoy with us!

Ingomar, MT to Great Falls, MT

What a night!!  The winds picked up overnight, gusting, making us feel thankful we were in the RV not a covered wagon (or tent Dave says).  It was quite a rock and roll ride with lightning on the far horizon but no thunder or rain.  It did drizzle for about 10 min just before Dave was ready to unhook the RV.  What an end to our Jersey Lilly experience.

More grazing cattle and lots of antelopes this morning.  The tan fields turning to green fields, rocky hills and trees by the time we got to Roundup, on SR 12 was a pleasure to see after so many days of dry lands.

The road to Great Falls was one of our favorite scenic routes, SR 12 and 89.  One pass we went through was 7393 ft high.  We were surprised to see many new homes being built along route 89.

John, Dave wants you to know he drove half way to MI today from DE… that is if we were headed there from DE, which we aren’t.  He says he has to stay here for three days just to recoup!!   LOL

We found the local KOA to be very nice.  The parking pads are level and in between each spot is a hedge for a bit of privacy, a real feel of a park setting.  They even have a hot tub and free fire wood....and WIFI.
