After waking up and watching Naked Gun 2 we hit the road and set off for Chicago. All plain sailing and picked up a couple more states in Indianna and Illinois until we got to Chicago. I thought it would be a good idea to navigate will a different route to the reccomended one so we could see lake Michigan. However we got a little lost and headed through a very rough part of chicago and did not see another white person for quite a few block. We made our way out and got to see the lake and chicago looked impressive across it.

In the afternoon went up Sears Tower, very tall, 103 stories, could see a long way. However it seemed that the clouds desceded upon us as we went up and reduced our visibility, but it was still pretty good.

This evening we went on the pub crawl and it was woeful. We were the youngest people on it and spent 45 miinutes getting there on the metro. Deciding it was woeful we headed back to around our hostel for a few beers. However we are staying in the financial district and so all the bars were closed or empty as everyone had gone home. Saw lots of smack heads in the park and also crazy homeless people, far more than new york.

Going to go on a walking tour of chicago tomorrow and then hit the road
