Got to Byron bay and was very excited, i had heard good things about the place and hoped their was a lot of life in comparison to coffs harbour. Arrived and missed the pick up from the bus stop again but rang up and got it sorted. hostel was ok, nothing special had an Xbox and playstation which was nice.
Headed in to town and had a look around, it was very gloomy and cold but booked some surfing as i was determined to do it in australia. had a look around and when it is not sunny there is not a lot to do. lots of dirty hippies around hanging on to their youth and expensive boutique shops selling hippy gear. Ended up going back to the hostel early as hangover had developed in to a full blown cold but had a sleep and felt a bit better.
The next morning enjoyed a lie in. Also had free pancakes with the hostel which was nice and ate them whilst watching the england v trinidad & tobago which was a little strange time because of the time zones. Watched a film during the morning as the weather was terrible, then found out that our surfing was cancelled because of the bad weather and sea conditions so went to the beach to brave the rain and wind but it was not fun.
