Got up at the ungodly hour of 5am to get ready and assemble for our Contiki Tour of Europe. We left Royal National Hotel at about 7am and headed for the white cliffs of Dover. We boarded the ferry to France.
We re-boarded the bus and drove most of the day to get to the campsite in Paris. We spent much of the trip getting to know some of the people on the tour with us.
The Cabins were very small with two bedrooms each with beds, that were best described as planks of wood with a thin mattress on them. Very basic accomodation, with the wierdest bathroom. One room with everything in it and no shower curtain, so that everything gets wet when you shower. Very strange. The cabins were also really hot.
Upon our arrival the contiki staff greated us with Es-cargo (not sure of the spelling) - Snails. Yuck!!!
After dinner we headed off on the bus for night tour of Paris. What an beautiful city. Pretty fairy ligts everywhere. We saw all the usual sites with the Eiffel Tower being the highlight. AMAZING!!
When we arrived back at camp we had a few drinks in the camp bar and headed to bed.
