Fife-on the Forth road Bridge
The 4th day of luggage out at 0800, breakfast at 0800 and depart at 0900 had us going across the FORTH ROAD BRIDGE and through FIFE to ST. ANDREWS, famous for its' golf courses. There were gray clouds as we crossed the bridge. When we reached St. Andrews around 10:30am, we were left off and were told we had 1 hour to see the town which included the ruined cathedral and castle and the beach. It was windy and misty as we walked. The golf club here was founded in 1754 and have made the rules for golfing. I was secretly looking for PRINCE WILLIAM since he attended school here but no such luck. Beside the cathedral was a cemetery with one plot with 4 slots in which 3 were empty. Hmmmm- kind of weird!
We crossed the FIRTH of TAY to DUNDEE to visit the beautiful castle of Glamis around 12:30pm. This was the birthplace of Princess Margaret and the childhood home of the QUEEN MOTHER and dates back to 1382. The guided tour took us from the haunted dungeon to the decorated living areas. It was huge inside as were the rooms. This castle has been featured on the travel channel for being haunted. After our guided tour we had lunch in the tea room before heading off to Aberdeen.
