I spent two days visiting a great couple in a little hut on a mountain ridge. While I was there I also went to see a thermal area and some mudpools!!
I felt straight at home visiting this fab cottage, solar power and rain water, just like my own cottage I used to have in Denmark.... opg except for one thing... I had a view to a motorway to one side and here the view was quite different. Waking up in the morning with the mist covering the valley, the dew glistening on the grass and the sun stretching it's beautiful colors over the horizon... couldn't imagine anything nicer... sigh..
After getting ready it was time to hit the road again. I arrived at the thermal area, and the first thing I saw was the mud pools.... hot boiling mud oozing out its pimple like pores and standing there trying not to inhale the smell of rotten egg and muggy old shoes...
Then they had the geyser erupt (yes they actually poured in soap to make it erupt on time, so people were gathering around for this and it was pretty cool, it shot up about 10 meters and you could feel the cool water mist from it fall on your face and hair. Hmmm I wonder if that guy on the petrol station moved away from me because I smelled like old erupted eggy geyser?
