I was so tried when i wokr up this morning but we had to get up early becausewe [yui her grandmother and i] were going to kyoto !! we took a train there, it took about 30 minutes or so and when we got there we went to the temple of the golden pavillion. that`s the temple i wanted to see the most. it was built somewhere around the 1200`s i believe and it`s covered entirely in gold leaf. i bought a keychain that has a maiko and the temple on it. after we left the temple we went to a coffee shop where i had tea and cheesecake. the cheesecake in japan isn`t as good as it is back home i must say .. but still good. after we went to this place where there are 100s [1000s?] of orange torii [the ones that are in the movie "memoirs of a geisha"] it was quite the site because i didn`t know that the poles where each made by a different family and went all the way up to the top of a mountain. After we went to Gion which is the old geisha district of Kyoto. When we were walking to Gion we saw 2 real maiko!! yay!! I didn`t get a picture of them since it`s sort of rude .. they were kind of trying to hide their faces anyways because people where watching them [yeah including myself] but i was happy i got to see them anyways even w/o a picture. We walked around Gion for a little while and then we took the train back to Osaka and it was the end of a nice day.
