Where am I? How this happend? And where, for the love of God, is our hostel?
At the beginning of February I was sitting in my room, drinking coffee, unsuspecting nothing to happend. Then, a message from my high-school friend.
Pesta: Kamila, I have a great idea. We're going to Paris. Are you coming with us? Me: Really great idea. I'm a jobless student, in the middle of semester, and I don't study at our hometown, like you. So, In a nutshell: Are you high?, crazy?, or in the parallel universe? NO Pesta: Tickets to Paris cost 340 zł (90 euro). Me:.............................eeeeeeeee....... ok. But still we don't have place to sleep. Should I bring my tent? Pesta:(little bit tired with my talking) We will pay about 50 euros for hostel. ... for 3 nights.... Me:...................................OK, forget the Crazy part and count me in my dear underestimated genius!
So. We met the airport where I had to unpack my bag. Why? The guard had thought I had a bomb. The bomb was my earrings' case. Our friend, who went with us was suspected of desire of blowing the plane up with camera batteries. But we manage to board and everything was cool. During the flight we made a plan. No, it was not a plan. It was THE PLAN. Musee d'Orsay, Pere-Lachaise, Montmartre, Montparnasse, Champs-de-Marse, Cluny.
Perfect Plan, we had 2,5 days and a huge, unworkable plan. So let's get moving. We landed on BVA airport, which is about 60 km from Paris. But it has this fantastic system, that after each landing the bus to Paris is aiting for the passengers. So we arrived to Paris after 60 minutes, which for me was a very short time.OK, we reached the Paris, and we knew we're on La Defense. But how the hell could we find our hostel in this city..... don't panic, we could manage. We bought 3 day ticket for metro and buses and started to gaze into the metro map (In Warsaw metro has 1 (one) line, and in Paris there are 14 lines, so be patient and give us some time). But it turned out that the rules of Paris metro are very easy and I loved that place, where we've spend some quality time ;>.
Finally after an hour we arrived to our hostel. But we got off the metro too early and we had to walk few blocks, tired, sad with our luggage, buuuu, we're fools and idiots. Hostel was nice and CLEAN, which was the most important for me. Rooms were small, but we weren't planning to spend there a lot of time. There was so much to see.It was 10 p.m. so we decided to go to the city centre (if we would find it). The metro was opened till 12.30, so we had some time. During our trip we decided to see Seine (Sekwana for us) and Louvre. It was amazing!!! Louvre was my goal in France. And Versailles, but you can't have everything. In Louvre we spend so much time that we had to go back. That's all for our... evening 1 in Paris. We wanted to see a little bit of our neighbourhood, but we didn't feel there confident enought to wander around in the night.
