Sunset at lover´s town

On the evening, we drove back to Verona, city of Romeo and Juliet. We fell inmediatly in love of the center of this legendary place, and the sight of the ancient theatre illuminated by dawn light was the perfect welcoming.

That night we slept at a Bed and Breakfast near Piazza Erbe. "B&B Coloniale" is a great place, and brand new despite the looks of the facade! Really, our room was big enough for a third person, the bathroom was modern and fashion and very quiet despite their location, near the oldtown centre. As a plus, the breakfast is served in the near "Caffe Coloniale" a extremely good-looking place with exquisite breakfast and lovely terrace.

To finish this incredible day, we headed to Arena with some packed sandwiches to have dinner in an uncomparable scenery: the Verona´s opera season (see review of ARENA).

We saw Nabucco, an it was an incredible experience. Italians do enjoy opera, and they were screaming for a bis after the "aria of the slaves", the most famous part of this play. Surprisingly enough, when all the applauses and bravos of the public had ceased, the maestro gave the orders and the whole orchestra and all actors and actresses repeated the aria!!! It really was one of the moments of our journey!
