Arriving in Vancouver
The saddest part of all cruises is disembarking. This was no different. We got off relatively painlessly though and picked up our rental car to tour around Vancouver in.
We checked into our hotel in Vancouver and then my husband and son were eager to cross the suspension bridge. I wanted no part of that, chicken that I am. I stood watching them cross that crazy prehistoric contraption shuddering at the fact that they were crazy enough to do it. There was no way I would. I saw the rocks and the stream and the trees 230 feet below. I turned away and took those three steps back to solid ground. I wondered what was next for those two insane boys. Bungee jumping no doubt.
Of course, that’s when the group of about 30 senior citizens, some with canes and probably a walker or two, came down to the landing where I stood and each and every one of those grey haired grannies crossed it! I was being put to shame by a bunch of golden oldies! haha! It was quite funny at the time.
After that stunt, we decided to head to Grouse Mountain. We took a large Gondola up to the top and it was the most beautiful place on earth. It was so big and vast up there. I kept expecting Fraulein Maria to come dancing down from the hills! We ended up watching the most hilarious lumberjack show. It was so good.
The next morning we had a flight to catch to head on back home to Ontario.
