The sky from my back yard 7:56pm

With all the news reports about Gustav it is very hard to see anything positive coming out of that storm. Although we live in E texas which is north of where all the major damage has occurred we still have not been spared of it's wrath. We have seen a major influx of evacuees pouring into town. We welcome them and hope they find comfort in this horrible time. For many of you who do not live in this part of the country, Katrina hit 3 years ago this past weekend. Many of those people are still trying to rebuild their lives. This new storm wasn't as bad, but the flooding is what worries everyone the most.

Kilgore is begining to feel some of Gustav. We are seeing the winds pick up and the skies are filling up with clouds. These couple of shots were taken at 7:58pm on Monday, Sept 1st. The sky was so beautiful with the sun trying to peak out from behind all of those clouds. As much havic as it will bring in the next couple of days, I still can see the beauty in the sky.

when I get a really good camera, I think these shots will be even better. These were taken off of my back poarch facing towards the west. I was just great as I sat back drinking a really good bottle of red wine from CA.
