Today we went to Cape Peron National Park. (Andrew and I both had a big night the night before so it was a little slow starting.) . By far this has been our best day yet. Once again, thanks to Toni and Gavin Mavrick was dog sitted and we went it alone. Driving out to cape Peron was an adventure in it self. Once you have passed the old Sheep Station it is all sandy 4WD access so we really tested the vehicle(we love 4WD'ing). about 20 min drive out of the sheep station , an great big dirty emu jumped out about half a metre in front of our car. We slamed the breaks(we were only going 40K/Hr anyway) and it just trotted along infront of us for about 30 M and then ducked back into the bushes. It was definatley a butt clenching experience. We reached the Cape and It was the most amazing sight. deep red sand and cliffs (like out of a desert) meeting crystal blue water. It was also a resting place for hundereds of seabirds. Then went to Bottle bay for fishing and swimming (skinny dipping) and Andrew caught 10 fish, 4 of which we could keep. We caught 2 X Parrot Fish and 2 x Yellow finn Bream. Fish at last !! and we had a very yummy dinner. On the way home,we stopped back at the Sheep station and had a dip in their natural spring water hot tub, it finnished the day off perfectly. Tomorrow we will go to Monkey Mia to see the dolphins. Sorry there is no pictures this time but I will add them in later next week. Take Care-Love Kerrie and Andrew.
